Green Celebrations: Also known as Eco-Friendly Celebrations, this initiative promotes sustainable practices by replacing cakes with watermelons, reducing waste, and supporting local farmers. It is one of the flagship initiatives of Usirigaagi Hasiru. Adopted in schools, colleges, and communities, the practice has gained widespread acceptance as an eco-friendly and meaningful alternative.

Hasiru Yagna: This flagship initiative transforms residential schools into model green campuses. Each school receives 1,000–3,000 saplings—including indigenous, fruit-bearing, medicinal, and ornamental plants—with drip irrigation and alternative water sources for sustainability. Students actively participate in planting and care, gaining environmental awareness. Implemented in 25 schools across Chikkaballapur, Kolar, Bengaluru Rural and Tumkuru districts, the initiative has created self-sustaining green spaces, with fruit-bearing saplings and school-grown groceries highlighting its impact.

Water for the Voiceless: Usirigaagi Hasiru supports wildlife during summer by providing drinking water and food in forests affected by deforestation and eucalyptus plantations. Artificial water ponds and food sources like bananas and groundnuts help sustain species such as rabbits, monkeys, deer, wolves, and peacocks. Implemented in Gudibande and Sidlaghatta forests, the initiative also raises community awareness and encourages active participation in wildlife conservation.

Tree Conserve Campaign: Usirigaagi Hasiru combats indiscriminate tree felling through awareness initiatives, including symbolic funerals for chopped trees and the #Save_Trees_to_Build_Green_Environment signature campaign. Engaging local communities, students, and civil societies, the campaign has sparked widespread activism, saved numerous trees, and strengthened public opposition to deforestation. Protests against BESCOM and the Forest Department have also led to commitments to protect urban and roadside greenery.

Akshara Daasoha: To cultivate reading habits among children involved in nurturing green spaces in their schools, Usirigaagi Hasiru, with the support of various organizations, has established children’s libraries in residential schools across Chikkaballapur, Kolar, and Bengaluru Rural districts. Under this flagship program, nine children’s libraries have been set up in nine residential schools. In collaboration with Biesse-India, a fully equipped computer lab was also established at Morarji Desai Residential School, Renumakalahalli, Chikkaballapur, enhancing digital learning opportunities.

Puneetha Namana: To honor the legacy of "Yuvaratna" Late Puneeth Rajkumar, Usirigaagi Hasiru planted 50 coconut saplings in each residential school in Chikkaballapur district and in a few schools in Bangalore Rural district. The initiative will expand to all residential schools across the Bayaluseeme region, promoting greener and more sustainable school environments.

Kitchen Garden: Usirigaagi Hasiru’s flagship program introduces kitchen gardens in Chikkaballapur residential schools, giving students hands-on experience in organic cultivation. They grow vegetables, pulses, and cooking ingredients like curry leaves, lemons, and drumsticks, managing the entire process from sowing to harvest.
